The latest episode reminded me of my own changeling OCs, Switch and Symmetry, who I didn't use in a while, sadly. Villain changelings deserve love, too (just not in-universe). Before this, the only things that made these two stand out design-wise was a lack of holes on Switch and perfectly arranged holes on Symmetry, not very interesting. Let's talk about the characters:
Switch (left) was hatched with a defect: he has no holes and even though he's stronger, he's too heavy to fly long distances. Because of that, he got no respect from fellow changelings and obsesses about becoming the best soldier and finally getting respected. During the Canterlot invasion, he got beat by a civilian pony and he's constantly trying to get revenge on him and everyone that helps the pony. I gave him a longer tail and horn, spiky wings, thicker legs and a red-ish exoskeleton. For those who know him from before, I know that Switch usually carries weapons, but I'm not redesigning those.
Symmetry (right) suffers from OCD. He asked his queen to mind control it out of him, but she told him to prove himself worthy: he had to become a valuable solider. Switch was ordered to train him and the two eventually hit it off. Symmetry assist Switch on his revenge schemes out of friendliness. He figured, he's gonna fight ponies anyway when he becomes a soldier. To him, ponies are just natural enemies. I gave him a square mouth, shorter fangs, a straightened out "mane" and tail and a blue-ish exoskeleton.
What do you think? What changes should I keep and what changes I shouldn't?
